Planning a trip to Bali?? Looking for a perfect beach holiday? A hotel thats walking distance to the beach, beautiful with all the amenities and at the same time cheap? Here’s the right place for you. I came across Grandma’s hotels on make my trip when I was searching a hotel for my stay in Bali in Seminyak.

The first thing that caught my attention was the room wall having a huge bike painted across and white rooms. Read good things about it on trip advisor and booked it for 2 days. Heres how the experience was-

When we reached this hotel for a staycation, the exterior was very inviting.  Loved the way to the reception with wooden planks and plants adding to the beauty.  It was aesthetic. The left side is adorned by their restaurant Miura and a small swimming pool, the right side has a beautiful waiting area with seating and colorful art and plants.

we were greeted by warm and friendly staff with smiling faces and a refreshing welcome drink.

The check in process took 5 mints and we were shown to our room.

The room as shown had the bike graffiti on the wall with all white rooms and a little sneak peak of greens in the window.

The rooms though small are very comfortable and everything is provided for. A writing table with a drawer, a safe for your precious belongings, sink in beds with a cosy duvet. A hot water kettle with tea coffee sachets, creamers and sugar. 2 small bottles of water per room complimentary ( which were provided every day) with glasses. The big bottles of water are chargeable.

The bathroom though tiny has a shower cubicle. The basic toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, shower caps, shower gel and shampoo are provided for.

After freshening up we wanted to take a spa before getting some sleep after the long tiring flight. They have inhouse spa where you can avail 20 percent discount if you are living in the hotel.

Its so cheap. Its around 490 inr per person for a 60 mints traditional body massage. Plus it was one of the best massage I had so far. They start with 3 oils you can choose from for your massage. Then you are served cold cinnamon tea and wet towels.

Then you proceed to the massage room through the beautiful alley-

They start with washing your feet first with salts and water then take you to the massage room which is provided with a cupboard for your personal belongings to be locked up.

After the super relaxing massage you are given hot ginger tea and watermelon before you leave.

After this we took a nap. In the evening we decided to go to the beach for a stroll. The beach is 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel towards the right side and towards the left side of the hotel it is 3 minutes to the market area. So location wise its perfect. Plus they offer their guests free bicycles for use entire day to roam around the area.

We however chose to walk to the seminyak beach for the sunset.

After the stunning sunset we took the first day easy and decided to chill at the rooftop bar of the hotel called Kinky tiki bar. The place is rustic with happy staff, retro live music, open seating area and also a pool table for a game or 2. The drinks and food here are cheap. We had 2 tequila shots, honeymoon coco cocktail which is huge enuf for 2 ppl, we had liit and coconut mojito and a pizza. In total we paid 1970 inr for it. We had absolutely fun 3 hours here for that much.

Our first day ended. Next morning started with a complimentary breakfast at their Miura restaurant. The restaurant has outside open seating or indoor seating option. We sat inside in the comfortable chairs enjoying the chatter around us. They hv only 2 veg options nasi goreng or mie goreng. U can choose from their asian/american/continental breakfast. I opted for mie goreng vegetarian. It came with a side of fruits and juice as well as local cake.

The same night (our 2nd night) we were also treated to a lavish complimentary dinner in the same restaurant which consisted of- vanilla passion fruit martini in vodka, creamy patatas for tapas, Hash patch salad- ruccolo salad with hash brown, hummus, grilled tomato, beetroot puree, and balsamic dressing and penne pasta and 2 more non veg dishes of fish for the hubby. We ended on a sweet note with pandan creme brulee. The entire dinner was scrumptious and we literally licked off our plates. The dessert was the icing on the cake.

All in all I tried each and everything that the hotel had to offer and i was absolutely happy with everything. I actually booked it for my remaining days in Bali too. I couldve opted for a 5 star hotel knowing how cheap they are in Bali, but we used the room only for sleeping in the nights, all day and till late night we were out everyday enjoying every moment of our time there; hence this hotel was a perfect choice for us and it is extremely safe. Would totally book this again for the next visit.
