Chips? Fruits? Dry fruits? Or dry fried snacks? Maggi? What’s your first choice when you are hungry? For me since I like putting healthy things in my body I prefer roasted baked foods that are filling and tasty.
Here is the recipe to one such quick snack that u can whip up in a jiffy.
Sweet potato bites-
Peel and cut the sweet potato into half. Then chop it in medium thin slices. Add little oil, salt, red chilli powder, chaat Masala, dry mango powder and oregano to the chopped sweet potato. Mix it with your hands. Leave it aside for 15 mints. In the meanwhile preheat the air fryer to 180degree for 10 mints.
After 15 mints pour these in air fryer basket and bake them for 10 mints at 180 degree. Take out and they are ready to eat. Serve it with a dip or chutney or ketchup.
If u don’t have air fryer u can preheat the oven to 180 degree and u can bake them. Or you can use the convection for the same purpose. Or you can boil the sweet potato in a pressure cooker to al dente, and then dice it and saute it in a pan to get a similar thing. If u like them fried u can boil the sweet potato first and then fry it- it turns out crispier that way.
I’ve also used the same recipe to make roasted carrot snack or crispy baked onions or even potatoes.
My fav dip with this is cheese cucumber dip. Take a look at the recipe for the same-
1. Peel 1 cucumber and grate it. Press it with your hands to drain the water from the cucumber ( you can drain the water in a glass and drink it instead of throwing it- Very healthy).
2. Grate a cube of cheese and add to the cucumber.
3. Add salt, black pepper powder, little chat masala, finely chopped cilantro and 1 cup hung curd.
4. Mix it gently and enjoy it with chips, fries, lavash, nacho chips or even khakhra.
It’s healthy and yummy.
Hope you enjoy it!! Do leave your thots in the comments section. Happy evening.
