THE INDIAN TOMORROWLAND HAS JUST STARTED FROM YESTERDAY!!!!

Navratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of Hindu goddess Durga. The word navratri means ‘nine nights’ in Sanskrit. During these 9 nights 9 forms of goddess r worshipped. It’s a important major festival celebrated all across India where those 9 days ppl sing aarti (prayers), wear traditional clothes like chaniya choli, kedia, traditional jewellery and go dance the traditional dance called dandiya & garba (form of dance originated in Gujarat) around the statue of the goddess for all the 9 nights. These 9 days r joyous ones with the dancing and decking up.

There are lot of people in India who observe fast during these 9 days. They either eat a proper meal just once in the whole day or else just stay on fruits for the whole 9 days. People go vegetarian during these 9 days and also lot of them avoid the use of onion garlic and regular salt.

DOMINO’S one of the biggest pizza chain across the globe has decided to convert more than 460 out of their  1060 outlets in India into vegetarian respecting the Indian tradition of millions of people fasting and avoiding non veg at this time of the year. Not only that, they’ve also come up with a very amazing menu for ppl.

Never knew that even fasting can get this tasty. Domino’s all new navratra special menu boasts of converting the regular ingredients used during this time into very creative and tasty dishes. Usually during fasting people eat lots of sabudana khichadi and sabudana vada or sama khichadi and potatoes.

This year, Domino’s Pizza has come up with a ‘Navaratri Combo’ priced at Rs 249. The Combo will have a 100 per cent vegetarian pizza made of water-chestnut flour (singhada atta), and white millet flour (Samak ke chawal ka atta). It will be topped with fresh mozzarella cheese with rock salt, tomatoes, paneer and crunchy sabudana. The tomato sauce, made without onions and garlic, will use rock salt rather than common salt.

The menu includes sago pudding (Rs 55), a sweet dessert made of milk and sabudana, topped with blue berries, and sabudana crispies (Rs 49) with tangy tamarind dip.

All the identified restaurants will serve the new Navaratri Combo along with other regular vegetarian items, and will be available for dine-in as well as delivery.

I must say I’m impressed. It’s innovative and looks amazing. I’m definitely ordering Domino’s this navratri…how bout u????
