Italian meal in a jiffy-RECIPE!!

It tastes as good as it looks!! The best thing, it’s easy to make and quick. A meal that u can prepare in 30-40 mints. Here’s how:-

PREPARATION TIME-15 mints

COOKING TIME-15 mints

Serves 2 ppl

FOR SPAGHETTI-

Fistful of spaghetti

Water for boiling

Salt

olive oil

FOR SAUCE-

2 big tomatoes deseeded and chopped minutely.

1 medium sized onion chopped minutely.

6-7 cloves of garlic peeled and chopped.

Tomato ketchup

Salt

Pepper

Oregano

Chilli flakes

Olive oil

1 cup cheese grated.

Boil water in a pan, add spaghetti to boiling water, put 1 tsp salt and drizzle some olive oil in water (so the spaghetti doesn’t stick to each other). Let it boil till spaghetti is perfectly cooked. Keep checking it time and again to make sure it doesn’t overcook.

In another pan heat 1 tsp olive oil. Add garlic and onion to it and stir till onion cooks. Add deseeded and chopped tomatoes to it and let the tomatoes cook completely on slow flame.

Once onion tomato and garlic is cooked add some ketchup, salt, pinch of pepper for flavour, oregano and chilli flakes as per taste and mix it well. Then add 1 cup grated cheese to it to make the sauce creamy (if you are checking your weight then you can minus the grated cheese from the recipe. The sauce will still taste amazing.

Once spaghetti is cooked put it in a sieve to remove all the water. And add it to the cooked sauce. Mix it well and cook on slow flame for 3-4 minutes OR u can bake it in an oven for 5-8 mints on 180 degrees.

Serve it in a plate and garnish with some fresh basil.

FOR SALAD-

Few leaves of iceberg lettuce

1/2 green pepper

1 cucumber

1 tomato

6-7 olives

FOR SALAD DRESSING-

1/2 lime

Salt

Pepper

1 tsp honey

In a bowl mix salt, pepper, lime juice and honey and keep it aside.

Then take a bowl and add all the veggies mentioned cut into big chunks. Pour the dressing over it and mix thoroughly. And salad is ready to serve.

FOR CHEESE BAGUETTES-

1 baguette

Cream cheese- flavoured or plain

Olive oil

Chilli flakes

Oregano

Take a baguette and cut it into thick slices.

Toast it for 5 mints in an oven on 150*

Remove from the oven and smear each toasted baguette with cream cheese and sprinkle some oregano and chilli flakes on it and drizzle very little olive oil on top for flavour.

It’s ready to serve.

Your full meal is ready. You can arrange the table with candles and serve the meal with a glass of wine for that romantic candlelight dinner at home.
